The community of Jonestown is located on the beautiful north shore of Lake Travis and in Texas Hill Country, so it is has a serene and gorgeous setting. Jonestown has been a small, rural community but is experiencing more recent growth. Its rural, friendly atmosphere is very appealing to those who do not want to live in a densely populated area but want or need the convenience of a larger metropolitan area.
With its proximity to Lago Vista and the Texas Hill Country, Jonestown has the amenities its residents need as well as many things to see and do. Almost every valley and creek in Jonestown is managed by the Lower Colorado River Authority, which means you can hike on it freely. Being on Lake Travis, all water sports are available including boating, water skiing, sailing, wake boarding, fishing, and scuba diving.
JONESTOWN LOCATION and FACTS -- Jonestown is located at the north end of Lake Travis, 19 miles northwest of Austin. It is on FM 1431.
