 Austin Botanical Gardens-- Enjoy beautiful Japanese gardens, a rose garden, a dinosaur garden, and more. Located in beautiful Zilker Park. Free.
Austin Duck Adventures -- Use the duck call whistle as you enjoy this land and sea tour. Aboard a six-wheel-drive amphibious vehicle, you will tour historic downtown before splashing into Lake Travis. It is funny and informative.
Austin Children's Museum -- Kids of all ages enjoy the creative playscapes, studio sound stage, Austin city landscape replicas, etc.
Austin Museum of Art -- Exhibitions of work by well-known international, national, and local artists.
Austin Museum of Art Laguna Gloria -- Historic villa on Lake Austin surrounded by beautifully landscaped grounds.
Austin Nature and Science Center -- Visit a museum, discovery lab, interactive exhibits, and 90 injured or orphaned creatures. Look for dinosaur bones in the Dino Pit.
Austin's Park & Pizza -- 22 acres of fun-filled attractions, special event areas, laser tag, rides for kids, climbing walls, and much more.
Austin Steam Train -- Refurbished trains with steam engines take you for rides through the Texas Hill Country. There is also a special trip from downtown Austin.
Austin Zoo -- A small zoo of abandoned, orphaned, or injured animals in a beautiful Texas Hill Country setting.

Hamilton Pool -- A natural pool west of Austin surrounded by rock croppings and grotto.
Harry Ransom Center -- Cultural archives including a rare Gutenberg Bible, Watergate papers, etc.
Highland Lakes -- A 150-mile long chain of seven freshwater lakes. Boating, fishing, skiing, etc.
Hill Country Flyer -- Come aboard a restored Southern Pacific steam locomotive for tours through the Texas Hill Country. Map
Inner Space Caverns -- A huge underground cavern with magnificent stalactites and stalagmites.
Jourdan-Bachman Pioneer Farm -- Visit a living historical museum as it recreates life as it was on a 19th century farm.
 Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center -- One of Austin's most visited attractions. It has beautiful gardens, all themed around native plants.
Littlefield House -- A haunted house built for Mayor Littlefield in 1894.
Lockhart State Park -- This park offers swimming, hiking, boating, and picnicking.
Lone Star Riverboat -- Old-fashioned, double-decked paddle wheeler, docked on Lady Bird Lake offers sight-seeing tours from March through October. Private charters are also available. S. First St. and Congress Avenue bridges.
Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library and Museum -- Museum chronicles the political life and times of LBJ.
McKinney Roughs -- Eight miles of trail that wind down from the Colorado through trees and meadows.
Madison Log Cabin -- Preserved log cabin built in 1863.
Mexican American Cultural Center -- A center that promotes Mexican American cultural arts and heritage.
Moonlight Towers -- Seven-story streetlights, erected in 1895, that provided "moonlight every night" remain downtown today.
Neill-Cochran House -- A beautiful 1855 Greek Revival mansion.
Old Bakery & Emporium -- Historic building that houses a sandwich shop and crafts made by senior citizens.
Schlitterbahn Waterpark -- "America's #1 Waterpark," according to the Travel Channel.
6th Street -- Visit historic buildings, well-known pubs and restaurants. On weekends, it becomes "New Orleansesque" as the streets are blocked off and it becomes a major entertainment area.
San Gabriel Park -- The San Gabriel River flows through the heart of Georgetown.
St. Mary's Cathedral -- Stunning 19th-century, Gothic style landmark.
Texas Capitol Tours -- An educational tour of the Texas State Capitol Building.
Texas Wildlife Expo -- Free family fun featuring a wide range on hands-on sports and pasttimes.
Treaty Oak -- 500-year-old tree that is the only surviving member of the Council Oaks, which is a grove of live oaks sacred to the Tonkawa and Comanche Native Amerians.
 Umlauf Sculpture Garden -- More than 125 sculptures displayed indoors and outdoors.
University of Texas -- Enjoy many small and large treasures.
The University of Texas Tower -- The 307-foot tall UT Austin Tower is the University's most distinguishing landmark and as a symbol of academic excellence and personal opportunity. Now open for tours. Map
Volente Beach -- Beach club on Lake Travis featuring a water park, pirate boat, and wading area. Small crafts available for rent.
Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve -- A 227-acre preserve with 2.5 miles of trails through woodland, grassland, and streamside habitats. Part is wheelchair and stroller accessible.
Whole Foods Market -- Visit the world's largest retailer of organic and natural foods, which was started in Austin.
