OUT & ABOUT IN FRENCH PLACE --  Residents have easy access to neighborhood restaurants, grocery stores (Fiesta Supermarket and H-E-B), and other retail services such as the Hancock Center Shopping. One of the favorite local restaurants is Hoover's.  Neighborhood Parks include Alamo Park and Patterson Park. European Clementine is a local hang-out for wine and coffee. Other restaurants include Eastside CafeEl Chilito, Dos Hermanos Tortilla Factory & Restaurant, Juan In a Million. Plays and shows can be seen at the Vortex and Salvage Vanguard.
